About the department

You will be part of the Safety & Regulatory Solutions Department, belonging to Research & Development IT and will mainly be located in Bagsværd, Denmark. We are a dedicated team of 23 people, responsible for the implementation & development, support & maintenance and operation of R&D IT’s transformational projects and applications. We are all working together as part of an agile, inspiring and ambitious team. Our aim is to increase the value generation to our business stakeholders through the implementation and development of Digital Solutions. Those solutions span across many areas and technologies, but the central objective is to explore new ways of creating value from our vast data repositories and to automate and improve our manual work processes.

 

In R&D IT we have played an important role in the agile pioneering in Novo Nordisk, by driving some of the first transformational programmes based on SAFe principles. That being said we are still at the start of our Agile Transformation and you might have the opportunity to be part of this exciting journey.  



The job

As our new Scrum Master in Safety & Regulatory Solutions you will become a key member of one of our agile teams in one of our transformational projects in R&D.

 

You will be responsible for preparing and facilitating events for the team, e.g. stand-ups, retrospectives, demos, etc. You will coach and educate your team in SAFe ways of working, helping the self-organising team to achieve their goals, and in close collaboration with the Product Owner ensure to fill, prioritise and manage the backlog.

You will drive the continuous improvement in the team, creating a learning environment, and ensuring learnings are shared with other agile teams and Novo Nordisk’s agile transformation office.

 

As a Scrum Master you will help other teams with the agile methodology and ensure effective outcomes for the rest of the programme. You will ensure that the agile teams are equipped with the right knowledge, tools and training to reach the teams’ maximum potential. Your role as an agile coach will also ensure leadership embraces the agile methods.   

You will be working closely together with your product owner, developers, data engineers, subject matter experts and other scrum masters in a very dynamic setting.

It goes without saying that we are looking for someone who is passionate about Agile ways of working and you get energized from working with people in a fast-moving environment. You excel at guiding people and ensure that the team manages their progress and ensure that obstacles are removed.

 

Your key trades will include your ability to learn, react and adapt to changes and share experiences. You like to challenge the status quo and inspire the people in the team and the programme with your can-do attitude. You are a team player who takes responsibility for the team and ensures an excellent collaboration to the other agile teams and our business stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in most of the following skills & experiences:

 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in large transformational projects or in large international organizations, with a track record in coaching and leading high-performing teams
  • You have hands on experience as an Agile Coach in educating and guiding people on the use of Scrum and SAFe
  • You hold a Scrum Master certification
  • You have experience in Software Development and have this backed up by a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in this area or other related fields 

 

It is essential that you can use your good interpersonal and communication skills to achieve results together with others. We treasure the positive atmosphere in our team and count on you to engage and participate in a positive manner.
