Satellite Telecommunication Engineer

MISSION
Design, implementation and management of global TLC SAT network including optimization of space segment resources.
Technical support to the commercial area with drafting of customer requirements and design specifications.
Scouting of solutions and products for TLC SAT.
Knowledge Responsible for:
• Satellite access technologies (DVB-S2/TDMA/SCPC)
• Link Budget Analysis for systems in GEO orbit (knowledge of modulation techniques and processes/elements in the end-to-end link)
• SAT baseband technologies (iDirect, Hughes, Comtech, Newtec and Cobham)
• Master and VSAT antenna system technology
ACTIVITIES
Evolutionary design of satellite network infrastructures.
Configuration of SAT network devices.
Design and drafting of network architecture documentation and technical note
Use of Office package (in particular Excel) + Python (basic) for task optimization.
Multi-tasking activity management with priority definition and process tracking
Analysis and Troubleshooting on network-related issues on satellite networks.
Configuration and management of monitoring systems.
The position proposed is related on technical activity in the field of SATELLITE TLC for the design, implementation, and management of global SAT TLC networks where the following is required:
• Degree in computer/telecommunications engineering
• At least 2 years of work experience in the TLC SAT field
• English (Level B2) written and spoken
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP and UDP/IP protocols
