Job offer description

As a nurse at Wellbeing Services County of Päijät-Häme, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of your patients. You will work with a team of dedicated professionals providing the best possible care for your patients as part of essential healthcare service teams in communities across beautiful Päijät-Häme.

Wellbeing Services County of Päijät-Häme in Finland is seeking to recruit 25 skillful and dedicated registered nurses and two (2) radiographers to full-time permanent positions. The recruits will be assigned to Päijät-Häme central hospitals’ specialist care units as well as health and wellbeing centers’ primary care units.

Whether you're looking to join a unit with specialist healthcare, comprehensive primary care centre with a wider range of services or a basic primary care centre with a more focused approach, we have an opportunity for you.

Landing to specialist care services means multidiciplinary and holistic patient care through multi-professional collaboration using modern ways of working.

Päijät-Häme Central Hospital is Finland's second largest central hospital and the 7th largest provider of specialist care. It employs 2,900 people, including 290 surgeons and 1,440 nursing staff. Care is provided in 40 different medical speciality areas in outpatient clinics and inpatient units. The hospital takes care of patients' wellbeing comprehensively from the first point of contact onwards. About 120,000 people visit the hospital during the year.

Landing to primary healthcare services means utilising the nurse's special medical expertise during treatment, needs assessment, appointments and examinations in an independent way of working.

The primary care hubs, called sote -centres, offer a wide range of primary healthcare services, including doctor and nurse consultations, dental care, maternity and child health services, basic rehabilitation, assistive devices, and physiotherapy. They also provide care for acute illnesses, such as infectious diseases and inflammations.

The sote -centers are either comprehensive (Asikkala, Hollola, Lahti,  Nastola & Orimattila) which offer a wider range of services, or basic (Hartola,Iitti, Kärkölä & Padasjoki) with more limited service range. As a nurse, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of your patients, just like a ski jumper who lands a perfect jump.
