The Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for all Hogs and guests who arrive into the hotel.

The role will involve the check in and out of all guests  along with the daily management of the accommodation bookings to ensure the smooth running of the hotel at all times. Completing room tours on check in for every guest to ensure that extra level of 5-star service is provided.   Assisting with any guest requests and ensuring that all requests are completed and followed up on.  Liaising with all departments with relevant information of a guest’s stay/trip. Collecting credit card information for all guests checking in and processing payments for all guests checking out. Ensuring the front desk is a friendly and approachable space while making sure the area is kept clean and organised at all times.

Job requirements
  • Create a welcoming, friendly and approachable environment at the front desk assisting with all member and guests queries or needs.
  • Check in/out all guests. Understanding billing instructions and itineraries for all people staying on site.
  • Ensuring everything is correct and charged for on each guests hotel bill. Liaising with different departments on bill queries and reporting to the Front of house manager if there is any queries or concerns on charges.
  • Providing room tours on check in for all guests staying at the Lodge. Explaining the hotel and room amenities and assisting the guest with dining reservations, day trips, golf or spa bookings.
  • Gathering information pre arrival for all groups, liaising directly with the concierge team to understand every detail of the groups stay and billing instructions.
  • Ensuring all guest details are correct on Jonas pre arrival.
  • Co ordinating with the house keeping and mini bar team daily on room departures/arrivals, laundry, Special requests in rooms, room changes etc. to ensure the smooth running of the hotel.
  • Assist with bookings and confirmations for Lough Currane bar and restaurant.
  • Processing payments for guests checking out and balancing all payments at the end of day to match the accounts.
  • To actively live the brand values and engage others to do the same.
  • Maintain a safe and clean desk area by complying with standard operating procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Respond to any enquiries in a timely, friendly, professional and efficient manner. If you are unsure, please ensure to take responsibility of following up on this query with the correct person/manager and reverting to the guest or member as soon as possible.
