Job Description

As a Quantity Surveyor at King and Moffatt, you're role will be to prepare and track both internal and external costs on each job from handover right through to Final Account Sign-Off.

  • Review construction information (Contract Documents)
  • Review and understand tender information and tender BOQ.
  • Prepare Cost Plans in-line with Commercial SOP.
  • Report on Cost Plans monthly internally, highlighting any potential issues.
  • Procure all major supplier and sub-contractor packages in-line with Commercial SOP.
  • Prepare & Submit Monthly Interim Valuations and Monthly Variations to the client in-line with Commercial SOP.
  • Prepare and Submit Sub-Contract documents to Sub-Contractors in-line with Commercial SOP.
  • Issue all Main Contract Documents / Collateral Warranties up the line for review.
  • Track Labour hours on each project using the Donseed system (where possible) and highlight any potential issues.
  • Audit Sub-Contractor applications for payment (Valuations) and prepare pay-less notices in-line with the Commercial SOP.
  • Upload Sub-Contractor Variation to the ERP System and audit sub-contractor variations monthly in-line with the Commercial SOP.
  • Review Site Programmes regularly with respect to delays, disruption, and programme
  • Attend internal and external commercial meetings as required.
  • Maintain K&M Document Management System in-line with the Commercial SOP & The Latest Filing Reference Guide.
Job requirements

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Proven track record within the mechanical & electrical/building services industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree Level in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tendering & construction process.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication & negotiation skills.
