About the department

Sourcing QA Packaging Materials is responsible for quality assurance of primary packaging materials and printed packaging materials going into all of Novo Nordisk A/S products. We are responsible for quality assurance of our suppliers who are located all over the world. Furthermore we are assuring the specification for release of the materials for use in the production of the many products produced by Novo Nordisk A/S. A combination of ensuring the high standard of the incoming materials, and involvement in investigations into quality issues by the use of LEAN tools, is part of our daily work to improve and secure robustness in our internal processes. In total, we are 29 dedicated employees divided into 2 teams working closely together.



The open position as QA professional is in the Primary Packaging Team consisting of 14 QA employees. The team is responsible for primary packaging materials used in all of Novo Nordisk A/S pharmaceutical products spanning both biopharm and the diabetes product portfolio. The team contributes to the high quality in development projects regarding primary packaging materials for pipeline drug projects, by taking the QA responsibility for the materials/items at the point where a drug becomes marketed.



The job

As QA professional in Sourcing QA Primary Packaging you will, together with your dedicated colleagues, be responsible for quality assurance of materials within a variety of categories, mostly glass vials and cartridges from global suppliers. You will also be involved in handling customer complaints, change implementation and investigations of non-conformities. You will be working closely together with regulatory affairs, purchasing/logistics, warehouse, consuming departments and suppliers of primary packaging material. Some of your tasks will be the approval of quality documents and processes. Furthermore you will participate in relevant audits and inspections, which makes some limited traveling activities part of the job. You will continuously focus on ensuring a high compliance level in the supply chain, and you will have the opportunity to develop our internal processes and affect the way we work with our stakeholders both internally and externally. In a dynamic and challenging environment with short deadlines you are able to make clear prioritizations and act vigilant.



Qualifications

You hold a Master degree or equivalent in engineering, pharmaceutical sciences or a related discipline. You have a strong quality mindset and an experienced knowledge of GMP rules and of Quality Assurance in the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledge of mechanics, metrology and primary packaging materials, relevant production processes and internal processes in Novo Nordisk is an advantage. We are cooperating broadly with a wide range of stakeholders and therefore excellent interpersonal skills and solid understanding of cross-cultural communication are essential for succeeding in this position.

With regard to personal skills, you are known for your positive mind-set, structured approach and analytical skills, flexibility and persistence. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
