In times of rising energy prices and climate change, public transport plays a key role. We are preparing the Munich underground for these future challenges. Our ‘Modernisation of the Train Protection System’ project is crucial in terms of expanding the range of services and optimising their quality. Our team plans, coordinates and is responsible for upgrading the entire underground network to state-of-the-art digital train protection and control technology.

What you can achieve with us

  • Assumption of key roles in the ‘Modernisation of the Train Protection System’ project (system architecture, migration planning)
  • Development of requirements for future systems and their interfaces, as well as the optimal strategy for their introduction
  • Technical support, from tendering through to contracting of potential manufacturers and integration
  • Involvement in the preparation of documentation according to DIN EN 50126 
  • Sub-project management for the successful handling of various topics 
  • Responsibility for coordinating project members and external companies, as well as for monitoring costs, quality and deadlines
Job requirements
  • Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering or similar qualification
  • Experience in the field of systems engineering, requirements management, system integration
  • Knowledge of the current legal and standards landscape (in particular CENELEC)
  • Strong awareness of quality, costs and deadlines
  • Confidence in communicating with a variety of contacts, diplomatic skill, but also assertiveness
  • Organisational flair, solution-oriented approach
