Traditional Meat Company (TMC) is a beef processing company with decades of experience in the processing and export of quality beef to niche high-end markets across Europe with integrated slaughter and deboning facilities in Oldcastle, Co Meath and Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. This focus on quality is achieved by attention to detail and professionalism in the procurement, slaughter, chilling, boning and logistics processes. Due to the rapid expansion of our operations, we are currently recruiting for a Production Manager within the group.

The Role:Gaining a full understanding of TMC’s production and operations is key for a successful career as Production Manager. You will receive full training in how to meet the standards required by our Customer, Company, and Site. You will be responsible for ensuring that the department achieves and delivers agreed KPI’s as well as being involved in continuous improvement projects. 

Job requirements

Duties will include but shall not be limited to:

  • Operating across all areas of production and operations;
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines;
  • Be involved in the management of raw material specifications in conjunction with the site management team;
  • Provide analysis of production efficiency;
  • Assisting with achieving targets across several KPI's;
  • Work with a continuous improvement mindset in their area.

The ideal candidate will have or demonstrate:

  • A relevant third level qualification;
  • Communication & presentation skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
  • Good inter-personal skills;
  • Excellent time management;
  • Ability to deal with challenges systematically
  • Experience in the meat industry with beef back-ground a distinct advantage
  • Previous experience managing teams
  • Good knowledge of Health, Safety, and environmental practices
