We are currently recruiting for Practice Development Coordinator for Beaumont Lodge Transitional Care Unit, Coolock, Dublin 5.
Responsibilities:
- The appointee will raise and set standards of quality of care by creating a culture of evidence-based practice for policies and procedures.
- Strategically plan, develop, and evaluate a project to enhance nursing practice in care.
- This role requires a combined knowledge of clinical practice, project management, service management, continuing education and professional development
- Liaison with all organizations/Acute Services including providers of training
- Review care of the patients nursing practice through audit and evaluation.
- Support all grades of nursing staff in performing a lead role in professional development in nursing care, practice and education.
- Disseminate professional and clinical knowledge.
- Endorse and enable lifelong learning through professional development
- Empower staff to develop and enhance practice
- Develop systems, which agree, monitor and improve standards of care.
- Enable the continued development of clinical practice guidelines, policies and protocols.
- Facilitate and support exceptional care through an accreditation process
- Plan, co-ordinate and evaluate continuing nurse education programmes specific to care of older persons.
- Organise and run educational sessions, workshops, study days and seminars
- Establish a framework for development of clinical competencies.
- Develop nursing practice by actively supporting and developing advanced clinical practice using Scope of Practice framework
- To deliver projects as a member of the Bartra Health Care and HCP teams to drive innovative clinical solutions for patients/residents.
- To undertake continuous professional development as a member in Bartra Health Care
- Project KPI’s and reports to the Director of Clinical Services or Deputy
Role: Full Time/ Permanent
Salary: 25k to 35k per annum - DOE
Qualifications:
- Management Qualification and Experience in a managerial role
- Experience in Practice Development and Project Management
- Degree / Masters in Nursing /Health related subject
