Coffey is now hiring a Planner to join our team. The Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining robust, logic-linked programmes that define how projects will be delivered from tender through to execution. This role ensures projects are logically sequenced, appropriately resource-loaded, risks identified, and methodologies communicated clearly to clients and delivery teams. The Planner also contributes to developing capability within the team by mentoring junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain tender and contract baseline programmes using industry-standard software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Break down project scope into phases, work packages, and critical activities.
- Develop construction methodologies, phasing diagrams, and resource-loaded programmes.
- Ensure programmes are fully logic-linked with robust critical path and float analysis.
- Proactively identify risks, constraints, and opportunities and propose mitigation strategies.
- Support bid teams with method statements, phasing diagrams, and client presentations.
- Provide input into project delivery sequencing, resourcing, and mitigation options.
- Monitor compliance with planning standards and company processes.
- Lead or support planning input at contract review and progress meetings.
- Mentor and support junior planners in developing their technical and professional capability.
- Assist in claims and dispute resolution by providing programme and methodology evidence.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning for civil engineering / infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6 or equivalent.
- Experience in resource loading and analysis of labour, plant, and subcontractors.
- Experience producing logic-linked programmes with clear critical paths and float analysis.
- Ability to challenge and influence project teams to improve delivery performance.
- Strong communication skills – able to present programmes clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in tendering and pre-construction advantageous.
- Experience with 4D planning tools or BIM integration advantageous
- Full clean Irish driver licence
- Authorised to work in Ireland i.e. stamp 4 or critical skills visa
