Piping Engineer

FUNCTION

You work in the department of Mechanical & Piping Engineering, which main activity is making studies and the design and specification of piping and equipment for Process Plants (Oil&Gas, Petro and Chemical, Health&Nutrition). Our client does a lot of modifications and extensions to Plants already in operation. Your work ranges from making basic studies to contribute to the detail engineering. You design arrangement drawings, piping plans and isometrics and you make piping and equipment specifications. You'll use the latest computer software, such as 3D modeling systems (PDMS and Autoplant).

PROFILE

You don’t only have the necessary technical skills, but you also have good communication skills, as you work closely with colleagues and clients. You are able to work within your own discipline on a project from the beginning to the end and of course you have a lot of contacts with other disciplines.

• Bachelor degree in Mecahnical Engineering
• 5+ years of Piping Engineering experience with

multidisciplinary projects for process plants.

• Experience with both basic and detail engineering

• Sound knowledge of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)

• Good communication skills

We're looking for someone with expertise in real Piping Engineering.This is not a position for Piping Designers who does the design in 3D programs based on the spec’s/P&ID’s given by the Piping Engineer. The Piping Engineer is the one who translates the process technological concepts to Piping Systems.
