The Nuage Networks™ Virtualized Services Platform (VSP) is a comprehensive solution that makes the network as readily consumable as the compute resources. It does this by providing the missing link to ensure rapid and efficient delivery of highly customizable application services, in and across multi-tenanted datacenters. The Nuage Networks VSP enables the deployment of massively scalable cloud-based services with the agility and performance demanded by highly dynamic application environments. The Nuage Networks VSP is a Software-Defined Networking (SDN) solution that virtualizes any datacenter (DC) network infrastructure and automatically establishes connectivity between compute resources upon their creation. Role: To provide Nuage and NFV expertise for handling of Nuage product portfolio and Network Function Virtualization related Proof-of-Concepts, demo(s), Workshops and/or Post-Sales activities. Your main responsibilities will include: ◊ Technical) Pre-sales, Post-Sales, engineering and professional service support for the Nuage or NFV products in EMEA region: • Capture customer requirements, define relevant Usecases and work out a corresponding list of required Nuage features & capabilities, and convert Usecase/ Features into Testcases/Testplan. • Validation of Nuage Usecase(s) by staging and demonstrating them in ALU labs and/or customer site(s). You convince the customer technical representatives that Alcatel-Lucent can provide them with the best technical solution. • Troubleshoot and problem-solve customer support requests, often working closely with the engineering team to resolve issues. • Support in defining and specifying High and Low level network design solutions. ◊ Responsible for Nuage and NFV solution testing and implementation during pre-sales phase: • You prepare and you deliver design proposals with support of IP architects. • Give technical presentations and workshops to our internal and external customers. ◊ Work with multiple points of contact, such as product managers and project managers to ensure support requests are solved in a timely manner: • The ability to work as part of a distributed team is critical. • The role will require short international travel, sometimes at short notice. ◊ A flexible approach, especially when communicating with Engineering team (Sillicon Valey (US), e.g. potential time difference) and other Alcatel-Lucent groups is essential, as is the ability to thrive under pressure and to cope with stressful, chaotic situations. ◊ Report customer requirements to Nuage and NFV products management teams. Mobility Frequent (once a month) inside EMEA region, with medium-short duration (max. 2-3 weeks) the Alcatel-Lucent’s product portfolio.

Profile

◊ You will obtain this year a Master’s degree in Computer sciences, Telecom, Engineering sciences, ICT or have up to 5 years of experience.

Mandatory ("a must") all willing to learn:

◊ Strong Linux/Unix shell and datacenter networking knowledge.

◊ Excellent with configuring and/or designing networking equipment in datacenters/carrier network.

◊ Experience with carrier networking protocols (BGP, MPLS,…), IP/Eth.
