Howden Maintenance Partners is specialized in maintenance and repair of rotating machines (electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, industrial fans, blowers, ...), transformers and turbomachinery (centrifugal compressors, piston compressors and steam turbines).

As a mechanic winder (wrapper) you are responsible for the rewinding of electric motors and generators. Your main tasks: You carry out the orders given by the sergeant; You are responsible for independently winding DC, AC motors and generators; You saw winding heads and break out electrical windings; You provide visual and geometric control of job-specific parts; You perform electrical tests such as surge and ELCID tests; You replace and repair stator spouts and cables; You stack and repair can packages; You impregnate stators, coils and anchors under vacuum; You work with overhead cranes/hoists/small forklifts;

Job requirements

You have obtained an A2 electromechanics diploma or equivalent through experience; You have a good knowledge of electric motors and generators; If you have had a basic training in rolling bridges, this is a plus You have had a basic VCA training or are willing to obtain it You are passionate about your job and interested in the latest developments in your field; You work meticulously and you are not afraid of a challenge; You are a team player, but you can also work well independently, your strong communication skills help you with this; Your work is always meticulous and punctual; You can withstand variable work pressure with sporadic overtime and weekend work; You always strive for safe working and quality is of paramount importance.
