We are looking for a machinist (m/f/d) for the winter season. Are you structured and do you like solving difficult problems? Then you are the right person for the OBERSTDORF - KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN team.

As a machinist, you bring along a high degree of initiative. Because with all the tasks that need to be done before and during operation, there is rarely time for detailed instructions. What only a few people know: By operating the ropeway and carrying out maintenance, inspections and repairs on the machines, you ensure that everything runs smoothly every day. You also organise the relocation of the cable clamps, keep the station tidy and keep the operating log. Everything in perfect condition? As soon as irregularities occur, solution-oriented thinking is called for. Whether it's a noisy signalling system, a malfunction in the track safety circuit or a defective display unit - thanks to your professional experience, you know what to do when technical problems arise. Nevertheless, close coordination within the team is required, as there are always tasks that require more than two hands.

 

Job requirements

 

 Good German language skills are required

  •  Fun in your job and fun in dealing with guests
  • Ability to work in a team, under pressure & absolute reliability
  • An awareness of service
  • Experience in a mountain railway company would be helpful, but is not a prerequisite
  • A strong technical understanding, solution-oriented thinking & ability to work independently
  • You love winter sports, can ski & are free from vertigo
  • You have completed a trade apprenticeship, ideally as a machinist, and have three years of professional experience in the field of electronics.
