Join us as our new Legal Compliance Manager
As a legal compliance manager in Novozymes, you will be involved in management and development of compliance policies, procedures, controls and handling of cases within areas such as business ethics, anti-corruption, data privacy/data protection and trade sanctions. The projects and cases you will take on will challenge you to think business in a global setting in a company, which is committed to responsible business behavior and high legal standards.
Your primary tasks will be to help maintain, update and develop all elements of compliance programs for Novozymes globally. Your work will be very varied and will include – at least - assisting in the design of compliance programs, rethinking and drafting policies and documentation, developing e-learning programs, providing training to relevant staff, reviewing and commenting codes of conduct and compliance-related agreements and driving due diligence processes.
You are bright and collaborative. You are a fast learner and have the ability to translate complex requirements into workable rules of thumb. You don’t shy away from a challenge; instead, you follow your plan and overcome it bit by bit.
You work in a structured and systematic manner and you take pride in seeing your projects through.

We offer a newly established full-time position as a legal compliance manager in Novozymes based in Denmark. You will be part of a dedicated Legal team and you will be reporting to our Chief Legal Compliance Officer.
Novozymes Legal is present in Denmark, China and the US and currently employs 15 employees.
In Novozymes Legal we are passionate, ambitious and dedicated to our work, but we also take work-life balance seriously.
Professional qualifications:
• Master’s degree in law, or Business Administration & Commercial Law or similar
• Work experience from public or private sector (although not a requirement)
• Familiarity with anti-corruption and data privacy laws will be a benefit
• Profound interest in legal compliance and legal compliance projects
• Excellent skills in the English language
• Excellent analytical, writing and verbal communication skills
Personal qualifications:
• Impeccable integrity
• Ability to communicate effectively with people in a friendly way
• Persuasiveness and persistency in reinforcing compliance
• Self-motivated, proactive, organized and able to multi-task
• Ability to work in a structured manner
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willing to travel when necessary (between 5-10 work days per year)
