Lead, Test Automation (Espoo/Tampere)

We are looking for a person who will be responsible for defining and implementing the hands-on test automation framework for product creation and continuous delivery. You have helped companies achieve test automation and continuous delivery of quality software multiple times in your career and now it is time to bring your expertise to new heights for next generation large-scale data-driven telecom cloud solutions.

Tasks

Develop and own a fast, reliable and comprehensive automated test infrastructure for delivering our solutions. Working closely with the product creation teams, you will be responsible for planning, designing and implementing automated tests in system level for all functional and non-functional areas for our BSS solutions. You will

• Engineer tools, scripts, framework and environments for test and data management, and allow rapid scaling of new features for customer needs.
• As a hands-on person, also be responsible for creating and running the tests as well as reporting on quality issues periodically. 
• Analyze defect patterns in major functional areas, troubleshoot, determine root causes and drive test initiatives to resolve and safeguard against the issues.
• Collaborate with developers to model customer behavior, improve test coverage, identify and troubleshoot product issues.
• Expected to work independently in own area of responsibility and lead testing teams.

Qualifications

Quality is your passion. With a “can do” attitude you always go the last mile to help teams deliver quality  products efficiently using automated testing, sometimes in high-pressure situations, in an international and multi-cultural environment.

You have a Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or Software Engineering or equivalent degree with multiple years of hands-on experience in testing large, scalable SW products and solutions with real customer deployments in a testing & quality role. Having a keen interest and familiarity with DevOps and continuous integration tools like Jenkins and Test frameworks like Robot will be appreciated. Knowledge and hands-on experiences in UI, functional and non-functional testing is mandatory. Familiarity with some of the technologies below is considered a benefit, but not an absolute must.

• NoSQL Databases (Key-value, Document, Column store, Graph…)
• Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora…).
• Microservices-based architectures with Containers
• Web-facing APIs (REST, JSON, Web Sockets..)
• Programming languages (Node.js, Ruby, Scala...)
• High speed, distributed, messaging fabrics (Kafka, RabbitMQ…)
• Web architecture and frameworks (MV* frameworks like Backbone.js and AngularJS)
