Job offer description

Do you want to help us design sustainable solutions for the future renewable energy systems – and contribute to a greener world? As pioneers within wind power, we are committed to develop ground-breaking and competitive products which support our vision of leading the sustainable energy transition.

As our new Senior or Lead Software Engineer, you will be based at our HQ in Ikast, and join our technology and innovation department. You will be responsible for developing software for electrical systems used in the renewable energy industry. Please note that there 2 vacant positions.

You will join an experienced and Scrum-based software team primarily based in Denmark. The team works with solutions ranging from embedded systems to large data accumulation systems as well as wind turbine specific software to some of the largest wind turbine producers. We take pride in having a open and honest dialog where we learn from each other and share both successes and mistakes.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Specify, develop and test software/embedded software for intelligent monitoring and control systems
  • Assist in improving processes and methods, including integrating state-of-the-art SW development practices and tools into our normal development flow
  • Support customers and transform market and customer trends into ideas

Skilled software engineer

As the right candidate you thrive in a role where you get to immerse yourself into the actual programming. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have experience from the wind sector and preferably have a good understanding of the coupling between electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems. If not, then you are excited by the opportunity to learn so.

Moreover:

  • You hold a bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, engineering or similar
  • You have experience as a software, embedded software or control engineer
  • You speak and write English effortlessly and can communicate professionally across borders and cultures

Furthermore, you have solid experience with some of the following:

  • Languages: C, C++, Python
  • Tools: Code Composer Studio, QNX Momentics, MATLAB/Simulink, SVN, Git, Jira
  • RTOS: QNX, VxWorks

We offer

As a frontrunner in the renewable energy industry, sustainability and innovation are part of our company DNA and strongly embedded in the way we operate our company.

No matter your role, you will find yourself immersed in our strategy. At KK, all employees are encouraged to contribute with their ideas – we want everyone to feel involved and heard. Our flat hierarchies allow us to make swift decisions and exchange ideas in an open, honest atmosphere where we help each other to succeed. What is more, you will be collaborating across several functions and you will experience a distinct team spirit as you work with international colleagues from all over the world.
