Become a part of our Product Portfolio Management team

Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturer of intelligent metering solutions. We experience significant demand for our products and focus on development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for energy and water consumption. Therefore, we are looking for a new Product Manager to join our Product Management team in our Heat/Cooling division.

With a direct reference to our Head of Portfolio Management, you will become a part of our Product Portfolio team consisting of six dedicated colleagues, who all strive to maximize Kamstrup’s Heat/Cooling business through product lifecycle management. Together we develop and maintain Kamstrup’s future Heat/Cooling product portfolio globally. We collect and identify customer needs within our key markets in the surrounding environment of utilities and implement this knowledge in the product and solutions strategy development and implementation. Therefore, you will join a positive, open and dedicated department where your personal competences and results are key for the success of the team.

An exciting job with focus on developing our service business

In the position as Product Manager, you will have the full ownership of our software offerings, which includes the full accountability for the profitability of the offerings. As the owner of the software business strategy it will be your responsibility to create and execute on the software roadmap based on customer needs and value propositions. You represent the voice of the customer in new product development projects where you are responsible for the launch activities in relevant markets. This will be done in close collaboration with customers, sales, R&D, operation hosting, marketing and of course with colleagues in product management.

More specific you will be responsible for:

  • Defining product strategy and roadmap based on market requirements and business goals
  • Defining cost targets for operating and maintaining the software products on the market
  • Ensuring a clear pricing strategy for your portfolio
  • Owning the new product development
  • Securing optimum product launches in close cooperation with marketing
  • Converting customer in-sights into value propositions

In the job, you can expect around 20 travel days per year.

Personality matters

There are several professional entry points to this position, but we imagine that you have an commercial background within business administration, global business engineering or similar combined with a personal interest for innovation and technical solutions. Moreover, you have 3-5 years of documented experience within the field of product management, preferably in relation to software. Finally, a basic understanding from the district energy sector will be considered an advantage.

As a person you are analytical, pragmatic and driven by your desire to create change, why you challenge status quo in order to inspire us to become even more profitable and scalable. You are self-driven and possess a proactive mind-set and structured which gives you the ability to prioritize and keep momentum on several of ongoing task. Getting acquainted with new technologies comes easy to you, why you can translate and use these in commercial and customer context. You pride yourself in your ability to create customer value, based in a deep customer understanding which you create by dialog and relations. Hence, you master the art of creating relationships and thrive in a role with a broad contact surface.

It is a requirement that you master English in writing and speaking. Danish and German will be an advantage.
