Global Service > Supply Chain Operations > S&OP

The Project and Performance department is a part of Supply Chain Operations, S&OP. The Global Service S&OP is a relative new established  department that is responsible for establishing and running the S&OP process. The Service business in Vestas is a key strategic focus area, which is developing rapidly to meet customer requirements.  This also means that there are many on going projects to support the growth and optimising the supply chain. We are looking for an energetic, selfdriven junior project manager to drive many of the internal improvement projects in collaboration with key stakeholders in a multinational environment.

Working in the Project and Performance  department entails a high degree of understanding and movitivation for getting your hands dirty and be an active member of the different project teams that you will be responsible for.  The diverse nature of activities demands an ability to multi-task and prioritise, with a focus on quality of results. We are a department full of energy, always going the extra mile for each other, so being a team player is key. Striving for continuous improvements by challenging the current state, optimising processes and utilising the existing capabilities is a constant topic on S&OP’s agenda. 

Responsibilities

Main responsibility will be managing improvement projects from concept scoping through to successful deployment into operations, using systematic and recognised project management tools.  Alongside effective delivery, ensure collaboration is built across the wider service organisation  through open and effective stakeholder management and sustainable cross-organisational process improvements.

 

You will work closely with the Demand planning, Production Planning, Inventory Management in the S&OP Department as well as our regional supply chain operations and other departments in Vestas depending on the projects you will be running.

 

  • Project Scoping –  investigate and understand the initial objectives set.  Challenge the frame, where necessary, to ensure the right balance of business value with a realistic project.
  • Project Planning – apply experience to set realistic but challenging project plans, which make progress and value visible.
  • Change Management – manage risks and unforeseen changes in direction with a systematic and structured approach, to ensure quality of output is retained with minimal disruption to timelines and budget.
  • Stakeholder Management – Identify and engage with stakeholders across the global organisation.  Demonstrate strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills, to support an open and collaborative relationship within and beyond each project. 
  • Project Reporting – provide fact-based, accurate reporting to keep stakeholders informed of project progress.  Ensure adequate record keeping and consolidation or reporting.
  • Measurable Value – demonstrate business impact (e.g. P&L) pre and post implementation.

Qualifications

 

  • Significant project management experience (certified PM Prince is an advantage )
  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Proven experience leading global process improvement projects
  • Experience releasing SAP solutions (an advantage, not essential)
  • Logistic/Supply Chain Management Knowledge (an advantage)
  • Strong communication skills in English, written and verbal
  • Proven stakeholder management ability.
  • Demonstrated change management abilities.
  • University degree at Masters level

Additional information

Primary work location is Aarhus, Denmark. Travel to be included 20 days per year but very project dependent.
