Location: Évora or Lisbon (remote is possible)

We are looking for a Junior Java Backend Developer to join our team. We are a dynamic AI startup with clients in Switzerland, Germany and USA. We work with top notch tech, use containers, cloud and other cool stuff. We are not just looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow with us.

You bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar.

  • Excellent spoken and written English.

  • Motivation to work remotely and communicate with international teams and clients

  • Passion to learn new technologies

  • Some academic experience with Java development

  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux.

Optional:

  • Experience with Spring and Hibernate.

  • Experience with relational databases.

  • Experience with either Solr or Elasticsearch.

  • Experience with RESTful API development

Responsibilities:

  • Write high quality software using server-side technologies.

  • Develop well designed APIs.

  • Architect new projects and solutions.

  • Requirement and feasibility analysis.
