Junior Front End Developer

COGNIZANT IS LOOKING FOR GRADUATES

to start as junior developer

(Valladolid, Spain)

As part of our strategy in Valladolid, Cognizant wants to strengthen our Mobility development capabilities, front-end as well as native, and we are therefore looking for recent graduates to join us as junior developers.

Your role as junior developer

In the beginning the focus will be on training. After that you will become part of our team, providing a full range of IT services as Frontend Developer specialist to clients across multiple industry sectors.

You will:

• Be part of a team, working with teams from Cognizant and from our clients
• Work on business critical web applications, eCommerce and social marketing projects
• Have attention for quality, maintainability, performance and testing

All of the above needs to be done with the ambition to obtain the best possible result for our client. With that you are not afraid to point attention points and/or propose improvements along the way!

As a graduate you will receive training in the following areas:

• Advanced technical training on Javascript, CoffeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and AngularJS
• Team work using Version Control Systems (GIT), Continuous integration tools (Jenkins)
• Agile methodologies (SCRUM)
• Optionally, get trained in native technologies, as Android or iOS

Do you have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer or Industrial Engineering, Business & IT, Management Information Systems or other related majors
• Programming skills in HTML, Javascript, Java, Android, iOS , PHP or similar
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in teams
• Good communication skills: English is required as you will have to communicate in English on a daily basis!
• Flexibility to work occasionally from any location in Europe
