For an external customer project (media company) within the framework of temporary employment, we are looking for a project manager for the implementation of a new IT backend infrastructure for the provision of content to customers via the Internet and the launch of a new product for consumers on the German and Austrian market.

Expected to work approximately 2-3 days per week onsite, remaining days remotely

The project includes the delivery of a new consumer product (hardware and software), the integration of front-end systems, the set-up of a new infrastructure including the provision of server and network equipment in data centres and the integration with the company's CRM system.

The project is already underway and has a defined schedule, scope and budget.

The project organisation includes teams from all client territories (Germany, Italy, UK) as well as external third party providers for software development and delivery/installation of server and network equipment in data centres.

The project delivery methods are both waterfall and agile (depending on the teams and workflows involved).

The main responsibility of the advertised post is to work closely with the other project managers to manage the overarching scope, schedule and budget and coordinate activities across the work streams. This includes managing and documenting budgets, reporting, tracking schedules and dependencies, and proactively managing risk.

The secondary (additional) task of the advertised position is to deliver individual project deliverables that contribute to the overall scope. As part of this activity, the Project Manager will collaborate with analysts, architects, developers and test managers.

Job requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Business Administration (or comparable) with specialisation in Business Informatics (or comparable).
  • Project management with a focus on managing budgets, schedules and dependencies
  • Knowledge of information technology (IT) with a focus on architecture, software development (agile and waterfall), product development
  • Experience in the media industry 
  • Languages: English (mandatory), German (optional)
  • Strong communication skills, assertive,
  • Ability to work effectively and achieve results in distributed, international, virtual teams and dynamic environments.
