About the department

You get the opportunity to join a QC department in Kalundborg; Denmark. The department carries out microbiological and chemical analyzes, these analyses are registered, results are entered and approved in the standard Laboratory Information Management System called novoLIMS.



There are approximately 100 employees in 6 teams.



The job

NovoLIMS is a standard laboratory system based on the standard system SQL*LIMS from LV running Oracle Form, which is implemented in its current version in 2001. As in the case of a standard system workflows in some cases has to be edited to what is possible in the system and for that reason; there may be a limited flexibility.



Your role is to support the novoLIMS super users in department 273, where you will play an important role, to make sure that the system is fully used. You will have a connection to the LIMS organization at Novo Nordisk, which will help you to identify where the use of LIMS can be optimized. When this is identified, your job is to implement and share with other departments.



Finally you will have the opportunity to give inputs to a future strategy.



Qualifications

We are looking for an intern who has the courage to join a laboratory-world full of challenges. You must have the skills to be able to identify, where the novoLIMS system is not being fully used. You have a great amount of it knowledge, and you have to be able to inspire and educate your fellow employees, who mainly consist of technicians without formal it education.



You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative.



Practicalities

Requirement: Students in their first or second year of their master studies.

Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 4-6 months.

Start date: 1 February 2015
