Internship Web developer @ MOBGEN Amsterdam

Full time for 6 months

The web team is responsible for the implementation of creative marketing activities into the mobile/digital channel such as cross platform applications, online social media applications and HTML5 mobile banner campaigns.  MOBGEN recently implemented a Social Media specialized division as well as an online gaming development division. Responsibilities

• Work with Creative and Technical teams and external companies on a growing portfolio of Social Media applications and games;
• Create technical designs and manage timely implementation of high-traffic web sites.  Keeping in control of project specifications, company`s design, coding and performance tuning standards;
• Further investigate the development of emerging mobile web technologies, social media solutions, etc.;
• Work closely with other development units in the company to share information regarding application subject matter and know-how.

Job requirements

• Availability for a period of six months. After the program you might be offered a full time position;
• Motivated (hungry to learn), organized and responsible personality (own initiatives are appreciated);
• Knowledge of PHP and MySQL;
• Knowledge of Javascript (jQuery), HTML (5) / CSS (3);
• Understanding of OOP and MVC;
• Experience in one or more of the following techniques and software is a big plus:
  • Photoshop
  • Linux
  • SVN
  • Smarty
  • Facebook API
• Pro-active, problem solving attitude;
• Language skills: Good written and spoken English
