About the department

Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, and we are responsible for the strategic sourcing activities related to Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. In Strategic Sourcing, Devices & Needles, we are managing the sourcing activities related to producing more than 500 million devices per year for the global market.



The job

There are never two days alike in Devices & Needles. There are many exciting challenges to attend to, ranging from scanning markets for suitable suppliers to ensuring already approved suppliers’ ability to deliver to our production sites according to our requirements. The span of tasks varies from extensive data analysis and preparations for negotiations to onboarding suppliers and subsequently following up on supplier performance, to bridging between the suppliers and the organization to ensure smooth collaboration in the running business. Your job will be to support the Category Managers in their daily work of preparing for negotiations, approving suppliers and being updated on the market dynamics. Examples hereof would be to assist with various market- and data analyses used for developing long term sourcing strategies, business cases, upstream supply chain impact on different scenarios etc.



Qualifications

We are looking for an intern who is passionate about problem solving. We are seeking candidates with a Master degree, Graduate Diploma in Business, Engineering or equivalent educational level. You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. In addition, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’ and a healthy sense of humour to your work – also when the pressure is on. Finally, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning. Fluency in both oral and written English; excellent Excel skills; sound personal judgment; and excellent interpersonal skills are required.



Practicalities

Qualification: Students in their first or second year of their master studies.

Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 4-6 months.

Start date: 01. February 2016
