About the department

In Pathology we focus on the safety evaluation of organ and cellular toxicity, as part of Non-clinical Development in Global Research. We work individually, in project teams and in close collaboration with other stakeholders. We contribute to many different research and development projects and are responsible for delivering high quality safety data necessary for the selection of new drug candidates. We are located in Måløv in the Copenhagen area as part of Global Research



The job

Your main job tasks will be, besides standard histology laboratory work, to contribute to implementation of relevant immunohistochemistry (IHC) and in-situ hybridization (ISH) methods used in: testing new IHC, ISH and other molecular pathology techniques when available



Additionally you will be may be involved in quantitative histology e.g. image analysis, stereology, and participate in ultrastructure tissue preparation and involved in handling of our transmission electron microscope



Qualifications

You have solid experience with different IHC and ISH techniques. Preferable you have technical flair and are interest in handling the electron microscope and also interest in quantitative determination in histology slides. You must have a qualitative mind-set as you will be working in a GLP approved environment. In addition you are open-minded and a team player with good collaboration skills, results oriented and organized in your working routines.



Practicalities

Qualification: Students in their Bachelor Degree.

Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 4-6 months.

Start date:1st February, 2016
