About the department

You will get the opportunity to join Diabetes Finished Products – New Product Entry, which is a part of Product Supply; the department consists of 5 different teams: Production Team, Business Support Team, Project Manager Team, Production Optimisation Team and Scientific Team where 65 skilled colleagues are looking forward to welcoming you. We work cross organisationally and focus on bringing new diabetes injectable products fast and efficiently to market. The main focus of the department is to ensure smooth transfer from development to production including up-scaling and process qualification.



The job

LEAN and process optimisation

During your internship in New Product Entry you will be part of the Production Optimisation Team. The team has currently two main responsibilities: Enabling production of new injectable insulin products in our production facility and manufacturing product to the market. Your job will be to work with optimisation of existing and new processes. You will therefore spend a lot of time in our production area to identify processes and procedures with LEAN improvement potential. Data crunching will be another important part of your job. As a part of the job you will support managers across the department in the development of LEAN systems e.g. performance boards, problem solving and process confirmation.



Qualifications

We are looking for an intern who is passionate about LEAN, production optimisation, and simplifying processes and systems. You are currently pursuing a master’s degree in engineering or other relevant field within science. We expect candidates to be service minded, thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude.



You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative and work independently with planning and executing your tasks. If you do not already master Excel – you demonstrate fast learning capabilities here as well.



Practicalities

Qualification: Students in their first or second year of their master studies.

Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 4-6 months.

Start date: 01 February 2016
