About the department

You will join Diabetes Finished Products (DFP) Project Office which is a part of Product Supply, where 16 skilled colleagues are looking forward to welcome you. We work cross organisationally and focus on bringing new diabetes injectable products fast and efficiently to market as well as securing CMC support to the marketed products. The main focus in the department is project management on different levels.



The job

During your internship in DFP project office you will obtain knowledge and experience in project management. You will be a part of the GLP-1 team which has the responsibility for Victoza® and Saxenda®. You can also be asked to solve task for the other groups in DFP project office.

The GLP-1 area has two main responsibilities: CMC support to Victoza® through the CMC support team and handling Product Supply responsibility in connection to bringing new products to the Market through the PS Core Team. You will have tasks in both area of responsibility.

In the CMC support team you will assist the lead in administrating the team. The team has the responsibility of overseeing product performance through a LEAN board, taking actions on irregularities and facilitating answers to requests on your products from internal as well as external customers. Your role could be heading smaller investigations and project management for minor projects related to the product performance boards.



In the PS Core Team your role will be to assist the Project Director in administration of the team. The scope of the team is to establish and implementation of the manufacturing and sourcing strategy including stakeholder management across the company. You will be assigned minor project in relation to the supply chain.



The department works across DFP sites and international projects could be in scope for the job.



Qualifications

We are looking for an intern who is passionate about production, formulation and working across boundaries. You are currently studying on your master’s degree in pharmacy, chemical engineering or other relevant field within science. We expect candidates to be service minded, thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude. Fluency in both oral and written English; ability to manage a large volume of projects (with supervision); sound personal judgment; and excellent interpersonal skills are required.



You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative. In addition, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude and a healthy sense of humour to your work even when the pressure is on. Finally, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning.



Practicalities

Requirement: Students in their first or second year of their master studies.

Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 5 months.

Start date:01 Feb 2016.
