About the department

Device Research & Development is an area within Global R&D, responsible for the development of medical delivery systems for self-treatment within all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. You will join a project team who apply high quality delivery systems to the Novo Nordisk drug pipeline within haemophilia treatment. The department is responsible for the entire development phase from early idea to market approval and launch, and the work is characterised by a close collaboration with the colleagues who develop the next generation drugs.



The job

Your role will be to support the engineers in the team with various tasks. We are currently in the phase of selecting the right delivery system for a new drug candidate. Your tasks will among others include to analyse and define requirements from different sources and to perform explorative tests and analyses. You will also get the opportunity to explore own concept ideas through our structured idea management process. You will get a thorough insight in the processes surrounding the development of medical devices, both those driven by regulatory requirements but also state-of-the-art methods for high-end innovation.



Qualifications

We are looking for an intern who is passionate about product development. You are currently studying on your master’s degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant field. Knowledge within systems engineering and risk management is an advantage, as these are important elements in our daily work.



You are quality minded and possess a strong sense of details. We expect that you can handle multiple tasks simultaneously, also with short deadlines. You are outgoing and involve your stakeholders in your work to ensure alignment and well-founded decisions. You are a team player who thrive in a busy environment and who is willing to make an extra effort to ensure our common goals are met.



Practicalities

Qualification: Students in their first or second year of their master studies.

Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 4-6 months.

Start date: 01 Jan 2016
