The role:
Qlik has offices in over thirty countries, offering our products in different languages, including Japanese, Chinese and Russian. The internationalization software developer is a key player in delivering software to an international audience. Together with a team of talented developers, you will design and implement assigned features, with a strong focus on our international product. You will also be instrumental in the adoption of internationalization standards across R&D, outlining dependencies and working closely with Product Management in defining international requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and document assigned features. This is done in collaboration with a team of architects, testers and product managers.
- Analyze internationalization requirements, which include mapping dependencies and making sure international features fit with the product architecture.
- Write unit-tests for your code as defined in the project.
- Actively contribute to Product innovation.
- Be an active contributor to the company’s initiatives for process improvements, and drive assigned initiatives.
Your skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or similar).
- At least 5 years of working experience, including experience developing software for international markets.
- Knowledge of non-European languages.
- Strong knowledge of i18n standards.
- Experience in other languages such as C++ is desirable.
- Experience from using agile software development methods like XP or SCRUM is required.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills, as the corporate language is English.
