Helpdesk Engineer Medior @ MOBGEN Amsterdam
Full time 40 hours
The role purpose of the sysadmin is to provide IT help desk support to the MOBGEN team. We’re looking for someone who is responsible, enjoys helping people, patience, solution driven, pragmatic, exact and dedicated.
Responsibilities
- Ordering and administration of software licenses;
- Ordering and administration of hardware;
- Assembling Hardware;
- Warranty administration and RMA handling;
- Performing small repairs or upgrades on hardware (replacing plug and play parts);
- Set up new work places;
- Keep track of used and unused hardware;
- Keep Office hardware tidy (store unused hardware);
- Set up equipment for meetings, demo days, events;
- Keep inventory of test devices;
- Creating and administrating MOBGEN user accounts for third party services such as active directory accounts, Gmail accounts and groups, Jira accounts and Developer accounts;
- Installing and configuring new systems.
Job requirements
- 2+ years of experience helping colleagues solve hardware and software problems with Apple and Windows products (Windows XP up to 8.1 and latest version of OSX);
- Fluent in English and Dutch;
- Experience with Linux Debian/ Ubuntu Servers (command line): configuring and maintaining basic LAMP stack;
- Experience replacing basic parts of PCs and configuring a RAID controller;
- Experience in installation and maintenance of software: Windows/OSX/Linux, MS Office, JIRA or similar ticketing system;
- Understanding of Wifi configuration, Switches, Routers (Cisco, Fortigate), Troubleshooting, VoIP;
- Experience with Windows Server 2008 / 2012 (active directory, domain controller) is a plus.
