Would you like to pioneer the next generation of sustainable Grundfos pump solutions? Do you have the technical focus within mechanical product development, and do you want to develop pump or system technical solutions focusing on the mechanical area?

Then we are looking for an experienced Product Development Engineer to join our delivery team focusing on MIXIT/circulator. 

You will join our Research & Development unit at our Headquarter in Bjerringbro, more specifically our Mechanical Development within CBS (Commercial Building Service). It is our ambition to be pioneers of innovative solutions which significantly reduces energy consumption of commercial buildings. Here, you will play a key role in our development teams together with highly skilled engineers, SCRUM Masters and Product Owners.

 

What is the job about?

As our new Product Development Engineer, you will join the MIXIT mechanical team, who deliver product development for the MIXIT project.

As a part of the mechanical team, you will contribute in or deliver the following tasks: 

  • Technical concept development towards given market needs.
  • Make components development planning according to project demands.
  • Component design including 3D/2D drawings with CAD tools - Catia is preferred.
  • Define technical specifications of components or systems.
  • Take part in the activities of supplier selection or audit.
  • Define components verification plans and follow up.
  • Contribute to DFMEA/DFA.
  • Communicate to supplier and perform 0-meetings to ensure component manufactured in right quality.
  • Technical material preparation (Product data, BOMs, Design journal, etc.).
  • Coach junior engineer to build up their competences.
  • Support System Engineers on other assigned tasks.

  

You have strong competencies for developing mechanical design

You are a strong technical profile with a deep knowledge within mechanical engineering. You have good interpersonal people skills, and you have strong ownership of what you have designed, and you can collaborate with people across many different functions. You are innovative and can drive things through the whole process from specification, concept, design, verification and finally realization - to ensure that the desired outcome is achieved by solid technical solutions.

 

Furthermore, we imagine that you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or above within Mechanical/Industrial engineering or Fluid machinery - or similar educational background.
  • >5 years mechanical design experience in related fields,
  • Proficient English – verbal and written.
  • Creative and innovative on developing technical solutions toward certain requirement.
  • Proficient user of 2D/3D CAD tools—Catia is preferred.
  • Rich experience on GD&T (Geometry Dimensioning & Tolerancing) or GPS.
  • Good understanding of system solution and design.
  • Strong ownership for the personal delivery including getting the independency/inputs from others, knowing how to verify the design either using simulations like FEA or testing and following up from supplier until production.
  • Able to travel and sometimes stay abroad for a period.

 

You have very good corporative and interpersonal skills and you like being a part of a team and sharing your knowledge with your colleagues across the organisation. You are analytical and structured – ensuring high quality and timely deliverables. At the same time you are used to manage different tasks at the same time without loosing the overview.
