Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) is a global organization that target to innovate, structure and improve production technology to create competitiveness for Grundfos. We set the direction for existing and future production setups in Grundfos Operations.



Our organization supports the Grundfos production as well as being a partner to Grundfos R&D. We are about 45 engineers and technicians within the Hydraulic Center of Excellence where of 20 are in the department planning to grow with several new colleagues in 2021. Our purpose is to design the architecture and develop modules for future production setup as well as project execution of manufacturing solutions across Grundfos production sites worldwide. We work as a global team, both virtually, cross boarder as well as onsite in development projects. You will report to Senior Manager, Morten Houlind Simonsen.

“You will join a highly technical and project-oriented department, where we are passionate about manufacturing technology. Our target is to develop the process for configuration management to keep track of implantations and changes of Architecture and Modules, primarily for the Hydraulics manufacturing Center of Excellence in Grundfos AME. We will also support development of manufacturing technology and project execution. Our work involves simulation, maturation and integration for robust production solutions.” Morten explains.



What is the job about?

As Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Systems you will be responsible of developing, maturing and maintaining process modules for hydraulics manufacturing. With the modules and standards you will configure the new concepts and prepare simulations to verify the setup. You will train and support internal and external partners to manufacture the modules.



Within the AME Hydraulics Center of Excellence, you will:

  • Implement System Engineering thinking
  • Implement and drive Version and Configuration management process
  • Keep track of configuration of Manufacturing Line architecture
  • Perform Simulation of Manufacturing processes
  • Documenting and maintaining Modulebooks in Design Library for Manufacturing processes
  • Communicate Modulebooks and standards to colleagues/partners
  • 3D Design solutions in Catia and Enovia. Preparing concepts, specification and documentation for Manufacturing
  • Support process development
  • Perform P-FMEA, Robust design(Six Theta) and Health & Safety risk assessment.
  • Have a solid understanding of Software and Electrical design for Manufacturing processes



What do you need to apply?

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you:

  • Have a degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering or 
  • Have solid and proven experience within manufacturing technology
  • Preferable familiar with System Engineering (INCOSE)
  • Have experience in managing defined processes within production development
  • Have experience with 3D design of Manufacturing processes
  • Speak and write English effortlessly
  • Are a team player and has good at networking skills across cultures and functional boundaries
