Grundfos Senior Backend Software Engineer

What is the job about? 

The project is in its incubation/innovation phase and we are working highly agile. The goal is to onboard customers and gain significant learnings while we are testing commercial and technical hypotheses with focus on value propositions. We deploy our digital offerings on Siemens Mindsphere and we have a close collaboration with Siemens.

As our new Senior Backend Developer, you will work closely with 2-4 colleagues in a cross-functional scrum team setup. Your daily tasks will consist of participating in any team activities and contributing with your backend development competences towards the common team goal of creating working software each sprint.

You will be part of working in a great and very competent team, where we really engage in the product. We keep a high sprit and energy level and we help each other to achieve stretched targets. The team is very proactive in ensuring that we solve real customer problems by e.g. collaborating closely with stakeholders in our everyday. We put great importance in building fast to market software. And last, but not least: We have a lot of fun in the team and do exciting stuff together.

Cross team sparring

You will also be part of an international cross-team chapter of equally minded developers with high digital ambitions. The chapter consists of talented colleagues, who are located in different teams, joint together by their field of expertise, looking to share the best solutions and thereby further evolve the collaboration and coordination between the different product teams.

What do you need to apply? 

You need to be proactive and engaged which means that you like to tackle challenges head on with a constructive, positive and creative attitude. It is essential that you have strong collaboration skills and want to work as part of a team. You are an eager learner of new things and keep yourself updated with latest trends within your area. You naturally have a customer focused mindset/ empathy which makes you excellent to view things from an end-user perspective.

We expect you to: 

• Hold a master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Be a good communicator:You have excellent English skills – verbally and in writing 
• Have several years of real world experience in your field of expertise
• Have experience in Backend development, including C# and .NetCore 3.x / EF Core 
• Have experience working with Azure Services
• Have experience working with Services and RESTful APIs
• Have an interest in Test Driven Development 
• Be familiar with modern DevOps principles: CI/CD Pipelines, Automated testing and Infrastructure as code (Docker, Kubernetes)

It is an advantage if you have experience with some of the following technologies, but not a requirement: 

• IOT Device management and visualisation 
• Commercial building heating management
• Dynamic device profiling and configuration
• Device Telemetry and Event handling
• Device Alarm and Event handling
• Cloud services deployment, operation and scaling
• If you have experience in Frontend development using different frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) in order to support the “T” sharped footprint within the team.
