Job offer description

How would you like to make a direct impact on our best-in-class pumps at Grundfos?

As our new lead, you will be setting the direction for an experienced team creating the electronics as well as the mechanical housing for our pumps.

At Grundfos, we make sustainable solutions for water supply, and now you can join us! We have a strong focus on developing ourselves and our products while ensuring a great work-life balance.

Join a dedicated, informal and cross-functional team

In your new department, Product Development – Electronics, which is a part of Domestic Building Services, we create the most reliable and sustainable pump products for our homes. We have an informal environment and focus on developing both new, innovative products as well as our own abilities.

Based in Bjerringbro, you will join a dedicated, agile and empowered cross-functional team within Product Development, responsible for developing electronics as well as the mechanical housings for all products within Domestic Building Services. We are a diverse bunch, and our experience range from ‘just graduated’ to ‘close to retirement’ – and we thoroughly enjoy and embrace the amazing dynamic that comes from this.

“We have introduced Pioneer Fridays once a month – here, all we need to do is concentrate on having creative, innovative thoughts and ideas to develop ourselves and stay curious,” says your new manager, Capability Manager Jan M. Vølker.

Lead and develop electronics for complex pump solutions

As our lead HW engineer, you work on all phases of the development projects from early idea to verification of the final product. You will have both a strong hands-on presence as well as the big overview as you set the direction for where we are heading with our pumps. When your team members need a professional mentor, you will be the one they can turn to.

For the direct hands-on engineering tasks, you will typically be working on designing microcontroller peripherals, user interfaces, I/O, power supplies, field busses or wireless interfaces. Doing so, you will build a network of internal stakeholders, including engineers in our Technology Innovation departments as well as process specialists in our Electronics Factory.

you will use your skills to:

  • Create innovative products by implementing new technologies or solutions from our platform
  • Drive the architecture and focus on supporting the existing platform
  • Optimise and verify the design by use of simulation and test
  • Make sure the design can be efficiently produced by collaborating with our Electronics Factory
  • Verify product compliance typically towards VDE or UL
  • Support and guide colleagues
  • Electronics engineer with solid experience within integrated electronics products

“With an outgoing personality and a joy of collaboration, you quickly become the go-to person when your team experiences professional challenges or needs advice. As you will work with colleagues across the organization as well as with the public authorities on e.g. electrical safety, it is important that you are great at managing stakeholders at all professional levels,” says Jan.

You are known for having the helicopter view and being great at connecting the dots in projects, and you are furthermore pragmatic when we need a solution fast but you also thrive doing in-depth research to find more long-term and durable solutions. Lastly, you have the professional and personal strength to challenge status quo and make constructive, alternative suggestions.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Have a bachelor or master’s degree in electronic engineering
  • Have solid experience working within integrated product development, having both the technical knowledge of and proven experience with reliable designs
  • Have solid experience with bringing integrated products to the market
  • Understand the benefits of standardised components and solutions – and how these can be reused in several projects
  • Speak and write English at a high level – Danish is a plus
