Purpose of Job:      

To ensure the effective, efficient and high quality service and presentation of food and beverages in the golf clubhouse. To comply with all directions given by the management and to devote the whole of their time, attention and skill to the job in a proper and efficient manner and to use their best endeavours to act loyally and faithfully to the company.

Main Duties:

  • Responsible for liasing with Bar and Banqueting to roster Bar and Floor Staff and for any Events
  • Liaise with Golf Operations Manager re events and Events for Function Sheets
  • Develop Business and contact Groups golf related and develop Catering Revenue
  • Follow up and Secure Bookings
  • Secure your own Catering Team especially from May – September including Chef, Kitchen Porter, Bar and Floor Staff to enable consistent catering requirements
  • Develop Themed Events and Social Evening to develop relationships with Golf Club Members
  • Manage and co-ordinate with communication to the members of such events
  • To be fully conversant with and adhere to all rules and regulations of the Clubhouse with special regard to (a)          Hygiene.

  • To understand and comply with the Licensing & Equality Laws / Trade Descriptions Act.
  • To ensure that the Food & Beverage Department is operated within annual budget.
  • To communicate effectively with Directors, Club Management Team, Staff & Consultants to ensure that they are kept appropriately informed of developments and relevant information about the Food & Beverage area.
  • To keep accurate and up to date records of all stock in all aspects of food & beverage department and to carry out weekly stock reports and report same to management.
  • Seasonal programmes and costings to be drawn up in conjunction with Head Golf Club Chef for approval by the F&B Manager / Director of Golf.
