Are you an experienced people manager and eager to join a fast-growing CDMO, where you will get the opportunity to lead and build a new team? Now you have a unique opportunity in our Quality Control department, as we are looking for a manager for a newly formed Raw Material team.

 

The position and key responsibilities

As Head of Raw Material you will provide leadership to the department and ensure that we work in accordance with our core behaviours - trust, delight our customers, Gemba (go see), and Genki (enthusiasm), and the goals for our site. You will drive a continues improvement culture and always be ready to challenge status quo. In this role you will work close with peers across the site, to ensure raw materials is released timely to support the production.

 

The organization is a newly formed team, that will be collecting all QC activities related to Raw Materials. The position will be reporting directly to the Head of Quality Control and be part of the QC core leadership team. Today the department consists of 13 dedicated people including the manager and is expected to grow significant during the next year. Further growth is expected as the new manufacturing facilities, we are currently building, comes into operation.

 

The Head of Raw Materials will take lead in defining the strategy and direction for the raw material business area for FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies in Hillerød, and across the international organisation supporting the greenfield project in North Carolina, US.

 

Functions main tasks:

  • Raw material sampling
  • Raw material specification creation
  • Raw material testing
  • CLO data entry
  • Raw material release
  • Implementation of new raw materials

 

 Your main tasks are:

  • Provide leadership, and drive development of your department
  • Ensure that we deliver in accordance with our agreements with our customers
  • Ensure alignment with your peers across the organization and build an efficient department
  • Lead the effort to define a raw material strategy for the site
  • Challenge status quo and drive a continues improvement culture
  • Ensure procedures and processes are aligned with cGMP

 

Qualifications

You are an excellent people manager with +10 years’ experience from the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or similar industries. The ideal candidate has a solid experience with raw material area within the biopharmaceutical industry, and specific knowledge of the unique challenges of a CMO/CDMO is a plus.

 

You develop efficient working relationships with peers and stakeholders at all levels, and for you, teamwork and collaboration are key to success. You enjoy working as an entrepreneur, finding new smarter ways to work, while fulfil quality requirements, and you can motivate and lead your organisation through change. You have excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Danish is not a requirement but is an advantage.

 

As a person you are open, curious and motivated by succeeding through you team. You have a pragmatic approach and look for solutions with an open and communicative approach, where you listen to understand. You thrive in an operational environment where priorities may shift on short notice, and where you at times will have to prioritize.
