We are looking for an Automation Engineer with a detailed knowledge on MES systems (Syncade) used in a pharmaceutical environment. Knowledge about DCS systems (DeltaV), Historians (PI) and reporting tools (InfoBatch) is an advantage but not a requirement.

 

About the team

Reporting to the MES Manager, you will be part of a team of 7 MES enthusiasts. The MES team is embedded in our Automation department which counts more than 30 skilled automation colleagues. Automation is a part of Digital Technologies together with our IT functions.

 

Your main responsibilities will be

  • Develop and implement larger projects to support our vision of paperless manufacturing with full ERP/MES/DCS integration and enforced workflows.
  • Understand the business processes that MES support and ensure that Manufacturing processes and their supporting functions are the primary driver for our solutions.
  • Support daily manufacturing and the teams supporting them.
  • Work as per defined procedures and ensure a validated state for automation systems.

 

Qualifications

  • Process Equipment and support system design and operational knowledge.
  • Experience with MES and its integration to DCS and ERP, or other relevant IT experience.
  • Programming skills (Preferably within VB Script, XML/XPATH/XSLT and SQL/TSQL)
  • Ability to work under short timelines within a manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborative attitude with the willingness to work with global peers toward company and department goals.
  • Ability to organize personal tasks.
  • Ability to hold the role as technical lead.

 

To achieve success you will need a systematic and analytical approach and be able to maintain the general view when working on several projects simultaneously and deliver your tasks in due time.

Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
