You are our hotel hero at the reception. The Front Office is the heart of the hotel, it's the most important point of contact with the guest and the key source of information for other departments. Therefore, as a reception team member you have to be the one who enjoys establishing direct contact and consulting the guest, getting along with very different characters and personalities. In this position you would enjoy lots of positive feedback, if you do a good job that makes our guests happy with their stay.

Your responsibilities:

  • You easily get along with all kinds of people - national and international, old and young, talky or silent, relaxed or demanding, as well as with business and leisure guests. You find an approach to each guest and consult them from A to Z.
  • You start by confirming the guest's reservation and then enter it into the system, to ensure that every colleague of yours has access to the data.
  • Guest satisfaction starts at check in, so you take care that check in becomes a great start of a great holiday or business stay for the guest. Similar to that, at check out you ensure that the guest feel themselves well cared for till the last moment of their stay, that they go home with a good feeling and would love to come again.
  • In Front Office there's much to do, you manage all the tasks in a conscious and responsible manner.
  • You are a team player that provides for a seamless procedure in the Front Office from beginning to end. It is extremely important that the reception runs smoothly.
  • The information flow at the reception plays a very important role as well. Everyone should be equally informed, no matter if the colleagues work directly with you, after or before you. This would require excellent communication and organizer skills from you.
  • Colleagues from other departments normally contact the reception to get informed or to inform the others. You take care that important information is distributed correctly and in a timely manner.

Your 'personal settings':

  • You enjoy direct contact with the guest and just feel enthusiastic about being a host.
  • You already have experience with upscale hotels / restaurants, possibly in Front Office or in restaurant service, you understand the guests' demands and know how to meet their expectations.
  • You are a reliable person that doesn't avoid responsibility to make decisions when necessary. You appreciate the positive moments in a flexible work activity and are able to keep an overview in stress situations.
  • You are a true communicator. It's easy for you to talk with guests, customers and colleagues, both in German and in English. You are diplomatic and able to find the right words in a difficult situation.
  • You are well organized and take care that team colleagues find your information easily anytime.
  • We work in the services domain, so you are service-oriented, open-minded and ready to assist.
  • You own friendly and hearty approach, along with your openness for other cultures, are the reason why guests, customers and colleagues enjoy your company.
  • You don't only speak fluent German and English, but your written communication in both languages is correct. You are an advanced MS Office user, and if you are experienced with Fidelio Suite 8, you are just our dream colleague.
