Organization Description: Altreonic NV is a spin-off company focusing on safety and systems engineering, based on a unique yet straightforward approach. With headquarters in Leuven, Belgium, Altreonic has a strong technology focus with a history in embedded and parallel real-time systems that goes back to 1989 whereby real-world experience in very divers domains was used to develop a formalised methodology, supported by integrating tools. As such, Altreonic's activities cover: executing international R&D projects, developing tools and environments, embedded real-time software, custom engineering projects in which hardware as well as software are developed and providing consultancy in safety and systems engineering. Your Responsibilities:

The initial assignment consists of a coached on the job training. You will seek customer specific challenges within Altreonic's domain of expertise, evaluate them and together with the technical and management team propose solutions that address the customer needs in a timely and cost-efficient manner. You support the customer in adapting our tools and in addressing his support requests.
You will work as a team member using techniques of lean and agile project management. Your responsibilities and position in the team will depend on your results achieved and contribution to the company's goals. 
You work in an ethical and communicating manner that aims at detecting and correcting issues at an early stage while keeping in mind the longer term.

Your Profile: 

  • Customer and business focused. 
  • Academic level (minimum is MSc or equivalent by experience)
  • System thinker with sound electronic engineering or computer science background
  • Proven experience in solving embedded systems challenges
  • Creative and lateral thinker, interested in innovation as well as in practical results.
  • Team player who can function in a multicultural environment. 
  • Good social and communication skills.
  • Self propelled, with a proactive attitude and own initiative. 

Your preferred skills: 

  • Proficient in written as well as spoken technical English
  • Proven experience in defining and investigating embedded systems solutions
  • Capability to write technical documents and provide first level training
  • Notions of safety engineering processes.
