Would you like to help us ensure quality, efficiency and continued development within the wind power area in Denmark and abroad? Join us as soon as possible and become our next Fabrication Manager in the Foundation Engineering team. Together with your six colleagues in the team, you will be responsible for the manufacture of foundation structures for our offshore wind farms. The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen or at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Fabrication Manager, you are an essential part of our foundation project organisation, led by the Foundation Project Manager. Thus, you have the daily responsibility for execution of our supply contact and internal and external partners. You manage a small team of supervisors, technical quality engineers and external third party consultants. Moreover, you are responsible for technical fabrication aspects during supply contract negotiation. Hence, it is your responsibility to understand contractual requirements. You will be handling the interface towards design and installation, leading the fabrication project team and reporting on supplier progress and status as well as planning and carrying out quality assurance and control as well as inspections. It is your responsibility to ensure that the product meets the contract requirements for quality, that it is ready in due time, and that we meet the cost targets. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: conduct fabrication meetings with the supplier ensure a safe working environment handle third-party reviews of the delivery (eg welds and paintwork) manage the hand-over from supplier to installation gather lessons learnt. Your profile You hold a master or bachelor degree in engineering, preferably within the areas of offshore, marine, manufacture, construction or machine engineering. Furthermore, you have experience in construction management. If you also have experience with supervising steel manufacture, it is an advantage. You speak and write English fluently, and Danish will be considered an advantage. You have broad professional experience combined with the courage to influence our future development and the ambition to further develop your competences. It is also vital that you have extensive insight into project processes, and we expect you to manage projects from start to finish. As a person, you have a responsible approach to your work and an analytical approach to your tasks. In addition, you are structured and results-oriented. You are also flexible and adaptable, enabling you to handle your tasks even in a sometimes hectic environment. Since you will be managing a team of people, it is important that you are outgoing and excel in team work and working with various international partners and suppliers.
