We are recruiting for Electrical Design Engineers located in Wolverhampton, with sites all over the UK. The company delivers multidisciplinary projects throughout Ireland, the UK & Europe. The candidate is required to develop and deliver electrical designs to facilitate the safe and compliant installation on site.

PURPOSE

Responsible to develop and deliver electrical designs to facilitate safe and compliant installations on site.

Electrical Design Engineer DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Designing in conjunction with fire certs, disability access certs & planning permission report.

· Attending Design team meetings.

· Carrying out site surveys of existing installations.

· Producing stage reports & presentations.

· Detailing electrical schematics for build.

· Sourcing and procurement of electrical components for designs

· Creating test plans and documentation packs for developed electrical designs.

· Liaising with customers & suppliers, meeting project delivery deadlines.

· Production of detailed design briefs, the basis of designs and survey reports.

· Carry out all work in a professional manner.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS AND DEPUTY

This role reports to the Design Manager.

TRAVEL

Some travel may be required. The expectation is that this would not exceed 20% of total working time on average.

 

Job requirements

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

· 5 year’s experience in the Electrical Engineering field

· Deep knowledge of CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN Irish and UK standards

· Knowledge of Amtech required

· Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment

· Strong communication skill
