Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Energetic, self-motivated, and strong work ethic
  • Assist with maintaining classroom order through observing, guiding, and re-directing children as needed
  • Prepare materials and organise classroom supplies
  • Assist with record keeping, observations, assessments and curriculum development
  • Develop positive relationships with parents, children, and colleagues
  • Meet weekly with team to discuss curriculum, lesson plans, issues, and questions
  • Assist with cleaning and setting up the classroom furniture and materials on a daily basis
  • Attend staff meetings and CPD training every month

Job requirements

  • Minimum Level 8 in Early Childhood or any relevant Early years qualification
  • At least 1year experience in an Early years setting or early years intervention class
  • Qualify for DCYA recognition
  • Must have knowledge of the Aistear Framework
  • Covid training
  • First Aid
  • Manual handling training
  • Fire safety certificate
  • C1 - English
