Draftsman (3D CAD) - Recirculation Engineering Design
The company is seeking to employ a Draftsman (3D CAD) for the design and engineering of Recirculation Aquaculture Systems (RAS) and related projects. The company's design and engineering department requires additional personnel with a solid background in 3D CAD design. Knowledge or experience of aquatic, pumping or water treatment industries would be an asset, but not essential.
Synopsis of position offered
A position within the AquaBioTech Group has arisen for a suitably qualified person to work as a Draftsman (3D CAD) - Recirculation Engineering Design on a variety of projects within the Group’s diverse portfolio.
The primary task is to provide engineering assistance in the design of recirculation aquaculture systems (RAS) for fish / shrimp hatcheries, aquariums, wastewater projects and ongrowing farms. Our design and engineering department requires technical input from an experienced draftsman aiding with project specific designs. The selected candidate will have to be able to prepare a detailed Bill of Quantities for projects using extrapolative tables from AutoCAD in order to devise accurate procurement lists, budgets, financial plans and purchase management programs in con junction with other departments.
Reporting directly to the Head of Design and Engineering, the position is demanding requiring a person who is highly motivated and self-organised. The selected person must be prepared to work to very tight deadlines in isolated and multi-functional projects and in conjunction with a team of international staff based at our head-office based in Malta, as well as staff who are based at the project sites.
Qualifications Overview
The successful candidate is likely to have a good solid a background in design engineering with a clear understanding of 3D AutoCAD.
The selected candidate will have a number of assignments to develop and work on in juxtapose, but will also be expected to become involved in the overall marketing and promotion of the AquaBioTech Group’s services so as to ensure that a continuous stream of work comes into the company.
The successful candidate will be offered a long-term, fixed term contract with the company that could easily be extended.
The selected candidate will have to speak and write English fluently and be a clear communicator. Knowledge of any other languages would be considered an asset, although not essential.
The selected candidate must have a clear EU passport with no travel restrictions or legal convictions and be in possession of a clean driving licence. Applicants must be prepared to travel at short notice as part of international assignments the company is awarded.
Financial Package
The starting package offered for this position will be structured largely upon the chosen candidate, reflecting the experience the candidate brings to the company, but also in line with the cost of living in Malta and will include an accommodation package, if required.
