DevOps Engineer

For a dynamic and fast-growing start-up in Belgium we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the Data Engineering Team. 



FUNCTION



In this position your main objective is to set up, monitor, maintain and optimize the company's platform insfrastructure. In collaboration with your colleagues you deliver your contribution to the overall quality of the data ingestion process and creative delivery of the data profling process. 



PROFILE 



Bachelor or master degree in computer science or related, with a couple of years of experience

You are looking for a fast-paced work environment

Fluency in English is a must. 

Experience in the following fields/tools:

- Shell scripting & automation

- Programming in Java and/or Python

- Expert in Linux

- Server provisioning tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

- Monitoring frameworks (nagios, cacti, ELK, …)

- Amazon Web Services



Assets:

Experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (HDFS/YARN/…).

Database (postgresql) and/or web server (nginx) administration.

Knowledge of Dutch
