Development Engineer – Mechanical Design of New Sensors
Do you have the drive and talent to deliver innovative mechanical designs and be a major contributor to our new product platform? You will join the Development & Reliability department which is a dynamic, fast-growing organisation. Your responsibility covers development of pressure sensors for applications ranging from small hydraulic systems to large two-stroke engines.
Drive and deliver innovative mechanical design
Your primary focus is to deliver innovative mechanical designs contributing to our new product platform for industrial sensors for harsh environments. Of course you are motivated by delivering solid results according to plan, in due time and high quality. You will be working closely with the other members of your team, and you will benefit from a strong network of contacts within Danfoss as well as externally contact with suppliers and customers. Other important key tasks are:
•Mechanical design of pressure sensors for various industrial applications, from concept to design using FMEA and other design tools
•Release of products, including validation/verification testing and reporting
•Structured problem solving on sensors
•Design for assembly with focus on cost and quality
Innovative mindset and a will to win in collaboration with others
You hold at least a BA in mechanical engineering or mechatronics, and have the tools to drive innovation from idea to product launch. You have several years of practical experience with industrial product development and knowledge within electronics will be an advantage but not a requirement. You have a strong drive and therefore you know how to focus your efforts. You work persistently to achieve your goals, and you possess the cooperation skills to develop solid relations – also to external partners. You are customer-oriented and have a global mindset, and it motivates you to make a difference through innovation. Finally, your positive energy rubs off on your environment.
