Job offer description

DEIF is a worldwide leader in power efficiency, and we are on a journey to make a real difference in the world. We pursue an ambitious growth strategy and want to be a global trendsetter in climate-friendly products and solutions. We want to be the go-to partner for efficient power management, renowned for our intelligent platforms and smart solutions.

We hope you will join us on this journey for a clean and green tomorrow!

Right now, we are looking for a Back-End Developer

Every day, our software department works on developing intelligent software solutions that provide consistent and intuitive user experiences for our customers. Offering solutions that are as user-friendly as possible and making life easier for our customers is an important focus area in DEIF. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced back-end developer who wants to be part of developing DEIFs UI design that creates synergy across platforms.

“As Software Designer in DEIF, you will join a dynamic and passionate team of skilled application- and web developers. Your tasks will primarily consist of optimising the interface between DEIF’s standard application and webservices on our future platform. Our front-end tech stack consists of Vue 3, Vite, Pinia and TypeScript, etc., and for our embedded devices, we use Node.Js – all to ensure great flexibility and usability”, Thomas Hestbech says.

The software department consists of several teams who use SCRUM and work in Sprints of 14 days and release periods of 3 months. You will join our Framework Team that collaborates with different departments across the organisation. In addition to an exciting job full of challenging tasks, you will experience a professional work environment, where collaboration, interdependence, and co-determination are watchwords.

The ideal candidate

You have an educational background as a software engineer, computer scientist, or similar, and have +3 years of experience with software development. We expect that you have solid experience within back-end development and that you can work in an agile framework while writing high-quality codes. You think in an object-oriented manner in microservices and event-driven design. You have experience with REST and SQL and have been working with Github, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI-CD tools.  You organise your code in a logical structure, making it easy to maintain and reuse. Familiarity with front-end development is considered an advantage.

You are motivated by developing smart and user-friendly solutions. You are curious about technology and eager to learn and share knowledge with others. We expect that you communicate effortlessly in English and Danish, both verbally and in writing.

At DEIF, we are Winning Together!

We promise that you’ll experience a culture based on values such as Ambitions, Perspective, and Respect, where we are Winning Together. We are a global company and work from many different locations – however, we are all united by a wish to make our customers and colleagues succeed. You’ll experience a highly professional work environment where continuous learning, empowerment, and collaboration are essential. To ensure a healthy work-life balance, we are flexible regarding working hours and working from home. Additionally, you have the opportunity of working from our offices in either Skive, Silkeborg, or Odense.

We are in a continuous process of developing new climate-friendly technologies that contribute to a more sustainable future. Corporate Social Responsibility is at the core of our business, and we always uphold the UN Global Compact's Ten Principles and actively support the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
