Seeking Data Analyst with a natural flair for IT and Curiosity for Data Discovery!

Working with a huge data volume you will have the opportunity to deliver value from day one. You will be building the next generation of BI tools from the ground up within a best in class team of data experts.

As a data analyst you will be responsible for driving strategic Business Intelligence initiatives as well as given the opportunity to identify new possibilities for future usage of data.

You will work on various projects with strong support from fellow team members and directly influence business decisions at one of the largest companies in the world.

The Management Information team will consist of 5 members specialized in data science, analysis and reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities• Entry point for business stakeholders and Maersk Line IT regarding BI deliveries

• Collect, document and communicate business requirements

• Sparring partner to the organization on future BI deliveries

• Proactively identify and create future BI solutions/Reports in corporate BI tools.

• Identify data quality issues and ensure handover to relevant departments

• Plan and participate in User Acceptance tests (UAT)

• Map and design new business processes surrounding new Business Intelligence deliveries in corporation with other departments

 

Who we are looking forA person with at least 3-5 years of experience, who has achieved great results from working with data analysis and reporting.

• An M.Sc. degree in computer science, transport & Logistics, financial economics, operations research or a related field.

• Prior experience with programming in MSSQL, Teradata SQL, Microsoft BI tools or similar

• Creative thinking, analytical mindset

• Enthusiastic about creating business value out of data insight

• Natural flair for IT and interest in adopting the newest technologies in BI area

• Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines

• Ability to work with complex data sets

• High proficiency in both written and oral English is a must

• Knowledge of MDX/DAX query language is a plus
