Your responsibilities

• You will provide expert HSSE advice to the Project management and development teams in the Renewables business throughout the Germany. 
• You will be responsible for ensuring HSSE contract requirements (including Sustainability management) are suitable for the local legal environment and the projects. 
• You will Inspect/Audit and facilitate HSSE compliance and standards for EPC construction sites as well as pre engineering study activities (this will involve weekly travel). 
• You will support the development of site construction HSSE plans where Multi lot approaches are taken. 
• When demand increases you will be responsible to identify, secure and supervise additional HSSE resource from the external market (using internal agreed processes). 
• You shall work collaboratively with the EPC contractor/s and in the case of incidents, be prepared to support joint investigations supporting project and business Learning. 
• You will be responsible for ensuring Physical and Cyber security arrangements for projects are suitable and supported. 
• You will establish mechanisms to demonstrate regulative compliance for the Renewables business in the Germany. 

Your profile

Essential: 

• You will hold a SIFA qualification and at least 2 years of professional experience (alternatively achieved safety engineer status). 
• You shall have experience of providing HSSE expert support in a project environment. 
• You will be able to manage multiple priorities and risks and deploy your time effectively to support Development and Construction teams. 
• You will have well developed people management skills with the ability to engage and motivate people at all levels. 
• You will have experience in supporting incident investigation techniques and reporting of HSSE using Incident Management and performance systems .  
• Good command of German and English Technical Language.

Desirable: 

• Environmental management experience/expertise or qualification. 
• Experience in Managing HSSE Legal compliance of business activities. 
• Experience providing HSSE expert support (including Sustainability management) in development and construction. environment, Solar and Wind experience ideal. 
• Managing Biodiversity impacts of operational businesses or construction projects. 
• Experience in the field of quality management and quality assurance. 
• Experienced managing site and business physical and Cyber security. 
• GWO BST certification.
