Purpose of the function
Independently and in a team installing structures, steel structures, roof and panels for both cells / tunnels as well as the total building including finish. It concerns installation of prefabricated parts.
The 1st training period (field) focuses on gaining knowledge in relation to the constructional part to perform independently and after a while within a team. In addition to structural installations, there is a 2nd part of the training period where you gain knowledge about technical installations.
Hereby you need to take care of commissioning and completion of these turnkey projects.
Function description
Assembly constructions
- Performing assembly work on steel, purlins, roof panels, doors, racks and climate, including finishing of this work. This applies to farms, tunnel companies and composting plants.
- In the function of Supervisor there are coordination and executive tasks required.
- Performance of work is done according to a schedule in which the efficient use of human resources and other resources are core tasks.
- Guarantee the safety of the construction site.
- Performing administrative work on site (handling and checking weekly charts, also present subcontractors).
- Leading assembly staff on the construction site.
- Take care of logistic activities.
Commissioning and completion of the project
- Completion of the building including technical equipment and machinery with the client and subcontractors. Processing and finishing of the outstanding points from this report.
Supervisor (after the induction period)
- As a supervisor, you have a role model and you must comply with the rules applicable at the construction site.
- Communication with the client about progress, bottlenecks and necessary action.
- Planning and attending project meetings on construction site.
- Organizing toolbox meetings at the construction site for the present employees / subcontractors.
- Reporting to the project manager.
- Communicate / execute the policy as determined by operations manager construction and technical installations / management.
- Transfer of knowledge and guidance of integration of concepts in new projects.
- Submission of improvement regarding development, engineering and construction projects.
Function requirements
Hard skills
- Secondary vocational education working - and thinking level towards engineering/ constructions with practical knowledge of mechanical engineering.
- Driving license B. VCA or willing to follow this course.
- A forklift license or willing to follow this course.
- Certificate safe lifting or willing to follow this course.
Soft skills
- Taking initiatives, be creative, radiate involvement and enthusiasm.
- Has sense of responsibility for the product and its employees.
- Is able to control a group of 3 to 10 (staff) through professional leadership (after training period).
- Creating and implementing a work schedule for employees.
- Work structured, overviews the situation and have good communication skills.
- Is able to work independently but also a team player; collaborate with various disciplines such as design engineering, project leader, workshop manager and operations manager construction & technical installations (location Horst).
- Is independent and self-reliant; working alone or in teams at the customer location (even abroad) to set machinery in operation or to provide service
- Speaks English and German.
- You have a practical and pragmatic attitude.
- No 9 till 5 mentality.
- Has a positive attitude against changes in the company policy.
